30/09: The centre

Imagine one point. It has no dimensions. It's a single spot. It can not be divided. It can not be zoomed into. It can not be stretched.

It is and simply has always been and for all you know it will always be.
This is your conciousness.

An infinity (and then some) away in orbit around this one place are circling clouds of infinite density but finite size. They do not touch each other, however, they are connected. When one changes the others follow suit and so they are in constant evolution - adapting and adopting to their environment. They all move in a single line in one direction hoping not to bump into each other but still needing to know what the next and previous one are doing.

These are your feelings, emotions and thoughts.

Your conciousness or your centre has an infinite mass. The clouds are moving at a similar rate.
Like planets and suns. The suns wobble as their partners spin around them.

Now imagine when one of those partners decides to be an ass about it and starts spinning the other way. Kind of messes up the system, doesn't it? Conciousness is being torn in many directions and speeds. It's getting frustrated and at one point the weight at the middle decides that it has had enough and buggers off, leaving the clouds to wonder about their own existence because without a reason to be, they become bored - they start experimenting with different speeds and angles. Gyrating around various axes(link) - screwing with the natural order of things.

While all of this is happening your logic steps in and tries to calm everyone down but fails miserably and soon gives into the clouds' arguments and joins their sides. So now your whole body is fighting itself because your being has left you to fend for yourself. You know that something is wrong. How would you go about fixing it? Do you force your conciousness back into its rightful place? Do you balance out your thoughts, emotions and feelings? Do you ignore it and let it all fall into place?

This is the kind of shit I think about when I don't feel so great. This is the kind of shit I'm thinking about right now.
I am feeling emotionally battered and physically exhausted. My psyche is falling to pieces if I don't find a central point.

For me, the central point has never been my conciousness - once you figure that out, many things become much clearer but way too difficult for anyone else to comprehend. Enjoy the rest of the week.

This announcement has been brought to you by Emo™ - feeling depressed? Good.

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervour, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind.

And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so.

How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.

This is TheZin's ego speaking. He is currently on the floor laughing his ass off and at the same time bleeding from the eyes, ears and every other orifice because of the level of crappy English currently occupying the web. You need not be Shakespeare or Tolkien but understand that a person's intelligence is directly credited to his ability to express himself. If you are nationally English so much the worse.

If you can not express yourself exceptionally well in English you need to state so immediately. I can understand that some people are foreign and do not understand English and must use translators to express themselves - this is all well and good because most translators actually write the words correctly. When you state that you are using a translator it makes life easier for everyone, trust me it does.

For me, personally, it is a shame to see that more and more young people lose interest in correct grammar and simply feel the need to express their pointless, inane and idiotic message as fast as possible making little to no effort in making it understandable - really I do. Such shortcuts as
"the -> teh"
"you -> u"
"heh -> lol"
"know - no"

hurt me in more ways than one.
It isn't even laziness - you are just unintelligent and probably way too young to use the Internet. The web was created by some of the most intelligent people on earth and unfortunately it has been completely overwhelmed by people with IQ-s lower than their knees. A side note: smileys are not, were not and will not ever be funny, original or worth the time spent on writing / choosing them.

In all likelihood you do not even understand half of the words in this reply and I have no problem with admitting that you are incapable of learning basic English and, among other things, are dumb enough to not use translators to comprehend me but please, oh please, do not try to use your crappy-ass worthless English in this forum.

Sincerely yours, a grammar Nazi and complete dick.

The wind was chilling, freezing even. We could hear the hull of the ship bending and twisting as more and more coal was thrown into the searing furnace. The deck of the ship would get wet and slippery any time we would pass through a cloud and the entire crew would get chills whenever the captain decided it would be a good idea to dive downward through the white sea of clouds. It wasn't as bad going up for some reason. It was horrifying for the first thirty minutes but after about an hour we were all soaking wet anyway so it didn't matter any more.

We had a good three hours of moonlight left before the sun would rise once again, shunning us back to our boring lives and jobs at offices and retail-stores alike but during these few brave hours we were gods of our realm. During these few hours we were unbeatable, untouchable and unbelievably straightforward. The captain decided to dive yet again. The sudden change of pressure hinted at ground as did the large mass of dirt heading towards us from below. It was the dock of Regtel, a pirate port hidden in the clouds. A refuge for the weary and dreaded. A moving refuge for all who wish it and a observation post for those who needed.

The city was on a floating thin red disk with cloud generators surrounding it for miles into all directions. Our ship, a giant of its kind, was a mere ant when compared to any building on the red disk. The city was huge, towering many levels over the streets. Thousands if not tens of thousand of buildings stood here along with their inhabitants. The higher levels were clearly of upper-class - they were bigger, seemed more secure and expensive and held an aura of prestige to them. The main street was a dirt road leading up to the docking bay. On both sides of the street lay buildings, most of which were dedicated to serving visitors in one way or another. From brothels to bars to weapons shops - everything one's heart could ever desire was within grasp but at a price.

Our captain had a reputation on this god-forsaken safe haven - a terrible human being, a wretched soul and a slave-driver of a captain. A reputation he was well proud of and not at all shy to demonstrate. One which gained him many a distinct privileges.

The ship, "Partylla", differs from any other. It's rusty covering give it the appearance of an old and pathetic heap of floating junk but the truth is underneath that cover lay dormant a thirty inch slatonium hull - nearly impenetrable by conventional means and down-right hard with any other.
It was immediately recognized and let through without tax or control - such was the influence of our captain. We landed without a bump and most of the crew landed themselves at the local pubs, taverns and brothels. All except the old man. After ordering supplies to be restocked he went to his cabin and opened a bottle of scotch, lit up the fireplace and swung his legs onto the old, hand-crafted table.

The old man's posture was crooked and a face hung on his head that only a mother could love, if she hadn't been sold. When I say old man, I mean it in the most modest way possible. Most of the crew hasn't reached their thirties and our leader was the exception but we have seen more battle, gained more scars and plundered more ships than most navies combined so we and our skills should not be underestimated. Our will to follow can only be surpassed by our wish to even the score. Gain a mile or two on the balloon of hate and misery. Our quest is not easy and it won't be short but it is ours to keep and ours to fulfil.

The sun rose without a hitch once again and so our adventure ends for today but it's temporary - it always is.

As the saying goes, live every day as it was your last because one day it will be.

Schools on and I'm afraid it won't be off for another year. Everything will slowly start to "shake into place" and "get on track" but something is still amiss. Something deep within the bowels of our society and nation. A certain kind of hate and despise that simply won't dumb down or die no matter how hard you try to ignore it. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about pancakes. These round omnipresent products are the scourge that rattle the suburban, urban and other -ban lifestyles every day. Millions of people suffer from this unfair state in the current balance of people and pancakes. It has been the plague haunting our everyday lives for hundreds of years.

To even this each and every single person must devour all the pancakes he or she can for the good of human kind - preferably with honey or jam. This is vital for our happiness and well-being as well as for the survival of the human race. So what I suggest is that you sit down one day, at least one member of the opposite sex should be present, and begin consuming pancakes. Tea helps.

Yet another secret announcement - don't tell anyone!
